YC Synergy Develops Comprehensive Hydrogen Fuel Cell Solutions
YC Synergy has proposed a development plan for a deep energy storage fuel cell and energy management system integrated with the power grid. This initiative has led to the completion of Taiwan’s first system that combines hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, and power generation. The system has successfully achieved grid connection and power delivery to the grid, simulating Taipower’s IEC-61850 power dispatch functionality. Key accomplishments include obtaining standalone test data, hydrogen fuel cell module performance testing and analysis, human-machine interface control, and EMS (Energy Management System) operations.
Established in 2012, YC Synergy is a professional provider of fuel cell system solutions. The newly developed energy management system can respond to commands by activating hydrogen fuel cell modules and grid-connected inverters, making it compatible with future Taipower dispatch systems. This functionality allows participation in two power trading markets: “Real-Time Reserve Auxiliary Services” and “Supplementary Reserve Auxiliary Services.”
This project offers a comprehensive energy system solution based on hydrogen fuel cell technology, catering to the auxiliary services market emerging from Taiwan’s accelerating energy structure transformation. It is designed to meet large-scale stationary power generation applications and supports Taiwan’s “nuclear-free homeland” policy by facilitating the overall upgrade and transition of the national power grid structure.
