No. Batteries such as lead acid and Li batteries are energy storage device, while fuel cell is a power generator. Battery and Fuel Cell are actually complementary to each other. The adoption of fuel cell can reduce the amount of battery carried onboard, and therefore to reduce the cost and weight of the vehicle. The fuel cell solution will also guarantee the better propulsion power and cruising range.

The answer is "No". Hydrogen is not a newly invented chemical. Instead, Hydrogen is a commonly used industrial gas and nor a rare fossil resource. The most retailers of hydrogen focus on selling the hydrogen to lab and research institute. And after layers of layers of distribution, the users are charged with high price for hydrogen they received and therefore being misled. As the matter of fact, Hydrogen is a relatively cheaper fuel compared with gasoline. And because the fuel cell vehicles adopt motor as the propulsion source, the energy efficiency is largely improved. Therefore the actually cost per Kolometer is more economic than conventional gasoline engine cars.
